SETTERS RALLY IN FINAL TWO SETS TO KNOCK OFF NYIT
OLD WESTBURY, N.Y.- The Pace women's volleyball team rallied in the final two sets to defeat the Bears of New York Tech (20-25, 25-21, 17-25, 25-23, 15-13). The Setters improve to 5-4 on the season, while the Bears fall to 6-6.
Nora Rugova (Mt. Kisco, NY/Fox Lane) led the Setters with 18 kills along with six digs, while posting a .297 hitting percentage. Susana Verdugo-Del Real (El Centro, CA/Southwest) totaled 12 kills and 10 digs, while Stephanie Kazmierczak (Buffalo, NY/City Honors) tallied 20 digs. Shea Hansen (Mesa, AZ/Red Mountain) recorded 44 assists and eight digs.
Pace returns to action on Wednesday, September 23 when they will travel to West Haven CT for their Northeast-10 Conference opener against the University of New Haven set for 7 pm.
