SETTERS FALL TO FALCONS 3-2

WALTHAM, MA- Freshman Nora Rugova (Mt. Kisco, Ny/Fox Lane) totaled a match-high 23 kills, in a losing effort against the Falcons of Bentley University 3-2. Pace dropped the first set 25-18, but then came back to win the second and third sets 31-29, 25-20. Unfortunately for the Setters, they could not hold as they fell in the final two sets, 25-15 and 17-15 respectively.

The Setters fall to 13-7 on the season and 6-3 in conference play, while the Falcons improve to 12-10 overall and 7-3 in the Northeast-10.

Rugova was also helped out on offense by fellow freshman Susana Verdugo Del-Real (El Centro, CA/Southwest) had a double-double performance totaling 17 kills, and 14 digs. Victoria Pompilus (Mount Vernon, NY/Mount Vernon), also helped the Setters by attacking for 13 kills and a .360 hitting percentage in the match.

Shea Hansen (Mesa, AZ/Red Mountain) recorded 52 assists in the match-up, while Stephanie Kazmierczak (Buffalo, NY/City Honors) totaled 24 digs.

The Setters return to action on Tuesday, October 20 when they take on non-conference opponent Molloy College, at 7 p.m. in Pace's Goldstein Fitness Center.
