PACE RALLIES FROM 2-0 DEFICIT TO DOWN SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT
RUGOVA'S ACE IN THE FINAL SET COMPLETES COMEBACK FOR THE SETTERS

NEW HAVEN, Conn.- Sianna Johnson (Long Beach, CA/Long Beach Poly) and Nora Rugova (Mt. Kisco, NY/Fox Lane) each totaled 18 kills as the Setters rallied from a 2-0 deficit to defeat the Owls of Southern Connecticut 3-2. The Owls took the first two sets 25-22 and 25-11, while the Setters rallied to take the final three sets 25-23, 25-21, and 17-15. The Setters improve to 16-7 overall and 8-3 in the Northeast-10 Conference, while the Owls fall to 21-7 and 7-6 in conference play.

Johnson added five blocks in the match, while Rugova recorded 11 digs and three service aces, including the match winner in the final set. Shea Hansen (Mesa, AZ/Red Mountain) tallied a match-high 51 assists, while Stephanie Kazmierczak (Buffalo, NY/City Honors) totaled 23 digs and two aces.

Pace returns to action on Friday, October 30 when the Setters will host Merrimack College in a Northeast-10 Conference match at the Goldstein Fitness Center on Pace's Pleasantville campus at 7 pm.
