SETTERS COME UP SHORT TO SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE
PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y.- Nora Rugova (Mt. Kisco, NY/Fox Lane) recorded a double-double with 14 kills and 12 digs but the Setters fell short in a 3-2 loss to Southern New Hampshire. Pace started off strong taking the first two sets 25-21 and 27-2, but the Penmen rallied, taking the final three sets 25-23, 25-10 and 15-6. The Setters drop to 16-10 overall and 8-6 in the Northeast-10, while the Penmen improve to 10-13 and 4-10 in conference play.
Susana Verdugo-Del Real (El Centro, CA/Southwest) totaled 12 kills and 11 digs, while Sianna Johnson (Long Beach, CA/Long Beach Poly) added 12 kills. Shea Hansen (Mesa, AZ/Red Mountain) tallied 40 assists, while Stephanie Kazmierczak (Buffalo, NY/City Honors) totaled 21 digs.
Pace returns to action for their final home game of the season as the Setters will host the Ravens of Franklin Pierce University in a Northeast-10 Conference match at the Goldstein Fitness Center on Pace's Pleasantville campus at 1 pm.
