VOLLEYBALL SELECTED FOR NCAA TOURNAMENT AT #7 SEED
PLEASANTVILLE, NY- The Pace women's volleyball team was selected for the NCAA Tournament as the #7 seed in the East Region. The Setters will take on the #2 seed the Chargers of the University of New Haven in the opening round on Thursday, November 19. The East Region will be hosted by the #1 seed Dowling College.
The Setters concluded the 2009 regular season with a 17-11 record and finished 9-6 in Northeast-10 Conference play, clinching the #5 seed in the NE-10 Tournament. Pace would fall 3-1 to eventual Tournament Champ #4 seed UMass Lowell in the opening round.
Head Coach Dan Altro, in his sixth season with Pace, guides the Setters back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since their Elite Eight appearance in 2000.
