PACE CRUISES BY BRIDGEPORT, 82-60
PLEASANTVILLE, NY – The Pace University women’s basketball team defeated University of Bridgeport, 82-60, in the second game of the 2005 Westchester Marriott Holiday Classic. Pace improves to 8-2 overall while Bridgeport drops to 5-4.
Andrea Padelsky (Lebanon, PA/Lebanon) led all scorers with 19 points, knocking down 7-of-12 from the floor including 3-of-6 from 3-point range. Padelsky netterd 13 of her 19 in the second half. Ashley Wallace (Oswego, NY/Oswego) finished with 13 points and eight rebounds while Jesse Dlabola (Levittown, NY/Holy Trinity) had 10 points, four assists and six steals.
For Bridgeport, Aliyah Miles (Union, NJ/Union) had 14 points coming off the bench. Miles hit on 5-of-9 from the floor and also dished out four assists while also coming away with three steals. Cherhara Shields (Woodland, CA/Oak Christian) finished with 12 points and four rebounds.
Bentley will take on Bridgeport on Thursday, December 29th as part of Day 2 of the Westchester Marriott Holiday Classic. The Falcons take on the Purple Knights at 1:00 p.m. Pace will host New Haven at 3:00 p.m., with both games played at the Goldstein Health, Fitness & Recreation Center on the Pleasantville campus of Pace University.
