ECAC Announces Robbins Scholar-Athletes
CAPE COD, MA-- Ashley Wallace (Oswego, NY/Oswego) of Pace University has been named a 2006-07 ECAC Robbins Scholar-Athlete Award winner.

ASHLEY WALLACE TO PLAY PRO BALL IN EUROPE
PLEASANTVILLE, NY- Former Pace University women’s basketball player and 1,000 point scorer Ashley Wallace (Oswego, NY/Oswego) signed a pro contract to play for TPÜ Spordiklubi in Tallinn, Estonia in the Baltic League. The former Setter standout completed her four-year career for Pace this past spring, finishing with 1,188 points, good for 11th place all-time in school history. In addition, she is one of twelve players in Setter history to score 1,000 points and grab 500 rebounds, totaling 645 rebounds for thirteenth place all-time

THREE PLAYERS, COACH SEYMOUR HONORED BY ALL-MET WRITERS
WHITE PLAINS, NY- Pace University senior Ashley Wallace (Oswego, NY/Oswego) was named to the First Team All-Met, while classmate Liran Buchris (Massad, Israel/Great Neck South) and junior Stephanie Klingele (Staten Island, NY/St. John Villa) were honored on the second team. For the fourth time in her career, Head Coach Carrie Seymour was named the Division II Coach of the Year. The voters were comprised of members of the National Invitation Tournament and the Met Writers Basketball Association.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL FALLS TO #2 BENTLEY IN REGIONAL SEMIS
NEW HAVEN, CT- The #3 Setters lost to the #2 seed Bentley College, 69-61, in the NCAA Division II Northeast Regional Semifinals. Pace ends their season at 24-9, while the Falcons improve to 23-7 and advance to regional finals. With a two-point basket at the 9:01 mark of the opening half, junior guard Stephanie Klingele (Staten Island, NY/St. John Villa) became the 22nd player in school history to score 1,000 career points.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL ADVANCES IN NCAA TOURNAMENT
NEW HAVEN, CT- The #3 Setters knocked down a season-best 13 three-pointers, including nine in the final period, to defeat #6 seeded Yellow Jackets of American International College, 77-59, to advance to the NCAA Division II Tournament Northeast Regional Semifinals. The Setters (24-8) move on to play the #2 seeded Bentley College on Saturday, March 10 at 5:00 pm in New Haven, CT, on the campus of Southern Connecticut State University. Bentley won their First Round game against the #7 seeded Stonehill College, 58-55.

MEN’S AND WOMEN’S BASKETBALL TEAMS EARN AT-LARGE BIDS TO THE NCAA TOURNAMENT
PLEASANTVILLE, NY – The Pace University men’s and women’s basketball teams have received at-large bids to the 2007 NCAA Division II Tournament. The women’s team (23-8) received the third seed in the Northeast Region and will square off against Northeast-10 Conference foe, sixth seeded, American International College (21-7). The Pace men (20-12) received the seventh seed in the Northeast Region and will face NE-10 Conference rival, second seeded, The College of Saint Rose (21-9).

NEW HAVEN, CT – The Pace University women’s basketball team defeated the College of Saint Rose, 78-72 in an overtime thriller, in the Semifinals of the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament at the J.W. Moore Field House in New Haven, CT on the campus of Southern Connecticut State University. The Setters improve to 23-7 on the season and advance to the finals of the NE-10 Conference Tournament for the first time in school history, while the Golden Knights fall to 21-8 and will await a possible at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.

The Setters improve to 22-7 on the season and advance to the Semifinals of the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament. The Yellow Jackets fall to 21-7 and will await a possible at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.

COLCHESTER, VT – In their final regular season road game, the Pace University women’s basketball team dropped a Northeast-10 Conference match-up to the Purple Knights of Saint Michael’s College, 78-74, this afternoon at the Ross Sports Center in Colchester, VT. The loss snaps Pace’s five-game winning streak. The Setters are now 19-7 overall, 14-7 in the NE-10, while the Purple Knights improve to 11-14 overall and 8-13 in conference play.

NORTHEAST-10 PRESEASON BASKETBALL POLLS RELEASED
PLEASANTVILLE, NY – The Northeast-10 men’s and women’s basketball preseason polls were released yesterday. The Pace University men’s team was picked to finish 5th, while the women were picked to finish 7th. Last season, the men finished 12-16 overall and 9-13 in conference play. The women finished 21-8 overall, 16-6 in conference and made their second consecutive trip to the NCAA Division II Tournament.

Like many recent college graduates, Maria Brown, who just graduated from New York’s Pace University at the age of 22, had trouble deciding what to do next. Instead of continuing to study her major, biology, at medical school, she has decided to follow her heart and head for court: the basketball court. “Since I’ve already decided to go for pro, I wanted to do it in my mother’s country,” the half-Korean told the Chosun Ilbo. “Fast and powerful Korean basketball is just my style.”

PACE RANKS 6TH IN WBCA ACADEMIC TOP 25 TEAM HONOR ROLL
PLEASANTVILLE, NY – The Pace University women’s basketball team posted a combined 3.52 grade-point-average, landing them in the 6th spot in the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) 2005-06 Academic Team Honor Roll for NCAA Division II. The award recognizes teams throughout the nation that have the highest grade-point-averages for the 2005-06 season based upon nominations submitted by WBCA-member coaches.
