ASHLEY WALLACE AND STEPHANIE KLINGELE NAMED TO NORTHEAST-10 WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ALL-CONFERENCE TEAMS

SOUTH EASTON, MA- Pace University senior Ashley Wallace (Oswego, NY/Oswego) and junior Stephanie Klingele (Staten Island, NY/St. John Villa) have been named to the 2006-07 Northeast-10 Conference Women's Basketball All-Conference Teams. Wallace was named to the Second Team, while Klingele was named to the Third Team.

Wallace and Klingele were vital parts in leading Pace (22-7, 15-7 NE-10) to its third straight 20-win season and the sixth seed in the NE-10 Conference Tournament. The Setters defeated Le Moyne College in the opening round, 61-51, and then upset nationally ranked American International College, 67-56, in the quarterfinals. Pace continues its run for an NE-10 Conference Tournament Championship tonight, as they play the College of Saint Rose at the J.W. Moore Field House on the campus of Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, CT. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.

Wallace has started in all 29 games this season for Pace, leading the team in points scored (402), scoring average (13.9 ppg), field goals made (166) and field goal percentage (56.3% 166-for-295). Her 402 points scored and 166 field goals game are new career-highs. She is second on the team in rebounding, averaging 6.0 rebounds per game. In the NE-10, Wallace is ranked sixth in scoring, 19th in rebounding and second in field goal percentage.

For her career, Wallace is ranked 16th all-time on the Pace University women's basketball scoring list with 1,123 career points and 14th on the all-time rebounds list with 620. She is the 12th player in school history to score 1,000 points and record 500 rebounds.

Klingele has also started in all 29 games on the season and is second on the team in scoring, averaging 12.4 ppg.  She is shooting 42.8% (133-for-311) from the field, including 38.3% (59-for-154) from three. Klingele has set a new career-high for points in a season with 360 and field goals made with 133. In the NE-10, Klingele ranks 13th in scoring, seventh in three-point field goal percentage, third in three-point field goals made and 13th in minutes played.
