PLEASANTVILLE, NY - Pace University senior guard Stephanie Klingele (Staten Island, NY/St. John Villa) has been named to the 2007-08 All-Met Division II Women’s Basketball Second Team. The All-Met awards will be presented this Thursday evening, April 17th, at the Giants Stadium Club in East Rutherford, N.J.

SOUTH EASTON, MA - Pace University senior guard Stephanie Klingele (Staten Island, NY/St. John Villa) has been named to the 2007-08 Northeast-10 Conference Women’s Basketball All-Conference Second Team. This is Klingele’s second career selection to the all-conference team, as she was a third team member last season.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL FALLS IN OPENING ROUND OF NE-10 TOURNAMENT
PLEASANTVILLE, NY– The Pace women’s basketball team concluded their 2007-08 season with a 64-46 loss to Southern Connecticut in the opening round of the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament. The Setters finish their season at 11-17 overall, while the Owls improve to 15-13 and advance to play at #1 Stonehill College on Tuesday, March 4 at 7 pm.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL KNOCKS OFF ASSUMPTION; CLINCHES #8 SEED
PLEASANTVILLE, NY– The Pace women’s basketball team upset the Greyhounds of Assumption College 61-55, clinching the #8 seed in the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament. The Setters will host the first round tournament game against the #9 seeded Owls of Southern Connecticut on Sunday, March 2 at 2 pm at the Goldstein Fitness Center. The Setters end the regular season at 11-16 overall and 10-12 in the NE-10, while the Greyhounds finish at 21-8 and 15-7 in conference play.

KLINGELE’S CAREER-HIGH 28 POINTS PACES SETTERS TO WIN OVER LE MOYNE
PLEASANTVILLE, NY– Stephanie Klingele (Staten Island, NY/St. John Villa) poured in a career-best 28 points and hit a career-high six triples as the Setters cruised to a 77-62 win over the Dolphins of Le Moyne College in Northeast-10 Conference action. With the win, Head Coach Carrie Seymour earned her 300th career victory, the most in the program’s 30 seasons and third highest at Pace in all sports. Coach Seymour has posted a 300-173 record (.634) in her 16 seasons at the helm of the Setters. The Setters improve to 10-16 overall and 9-12 in the NE-10, while the Dolphins drop to 14-12 and 11-11 in conference play on the season.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL FALLS AT AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL, 64-57
SPRINGFIELD, MA – The Pace University women’s basketball team fell to the Yellow Jackets of American International College, 64-57, Tuesday night at Butova Gymnasium in a Northeast-10 Conference game. The Setters fall to 9-16 overall and 8-12 in NE-10 play, while the Yellow Jackets improve to 16-9 on the season, 12-8 in conference play. The loss snaps Pace’s three game winning streak, while AIC ends their six-game losing streak to Pace.

SETTERS CRUISE PAST SAINT MICHAEL’S ON THINK PINK DAY
PLEASANTVILLE, NY– Stephanie Klingele (Staten Island, NY/St. John Villa) led a balanced Setter scoring attack, totaling 12 of her team-high 16 points in the final period as Pace won their third straight game and four of their last five as they picked up the 70-59 win over the Purple Knights of Saint Michael’s College in Northeast-10 Conference action. The Setters improve to 9-15 overall and 8-11 in the NE-10, while the Purple Knights drop to 13-11 and 9-10 in conference play on the season. The Setters, in conjunction with the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association and co-sponsored locally by Thornwood’s Finnegan’s Grill, raised $1,000 on the day towards breast cancer research.

NEW HAVEN, CT– Stephanie Klingele (Staten Island, NY/St. John Villa) scored 18 of her 20 points in the second half to lead the Setters upset over the Owls of Southern Connecticut 78-77 in Northeast-10 Conference action. The Setters improve to 8-15 overall and 7-11 in the NE-10, while the Owls drop to 14-9 and 10-8 in conference play on the season.

MANCHESTER, NH – Taylor Losey’s (Bristol, CT/Bristol Eastern) 27 points, 19 in the final period, keyed a brilliant second half shooting performance for the Setters as they rallied past the Penmen 81-71 in Northeast-10 Conference action. Pace shot a blistering 69.2% (18-for-26) in the final period. The Setters improve to 7-15 overall and 6-11 in the NE-10, while the Penmen drop to 11-12 overall and 7-11 in conference play.

SYRACUSE, NY – The Pace University women’s basketball team lost a Notheast-10 Conference match up tonight to the Dolphins of Le Moyne College, 73-64, at Ted Grant Court in Syracuse. The Setters fall to 6-15 on the season, 5-11 in the NE-10, while the Dolphins even their overall record to 11-11 and 8-10 in conference play.

KLINGELE BREAKS CAREER THREE-POINT RECORD AS SETTERS GROUND HAWKS
PLEASANTVILLE, NY – Senior guard Stephanie Klingele (Staten Island, NY/St. John Villa) became Pace’s most prolific three-point shooter passing former Pace player Andrea Padelsky’s record of 214. Klingele’s three trifectas in the game gives her 217 for her Setter career and she led the Setters with a game-high 21 points to lead Pace to a 30-point win over Saint Anselm College. The Setters improve to 6-14 overall and 5-10 in the NE-10, while the Hawks drop to 6-16 overall and 3-14 in conference play.

PLEASANTVILLE, NY – The Ravens of Franklin Pierce, ranked #25 in the latest national poll, defeated the Setters of Pace University 70-54 in women’s basketball Northeast-10 Conference action. The Setters drop to 5-14 overall and 4-10 in the NE-10, while the Ravens improve to 16-4 and 11-4 in conference play.

PLEASANTVILLE, NY – Pace’s Stephanie Klingele (Staten Island, NY/St. John Villa) inched closer to Pace’s all-time three-point mark, connecting on her record tying 214th trifecta of her career in the Setters’ 67-43 loss to the Skyhawks of Stonehill College in a Northeast-10 Conference game. The Setters drop to 5-13 overall and 4-9 in the NE-10 while the Skyhawks improve to 15-4 and 11-3 in conference play.

PLEASANTVILLE, NY – The Pace University women’s basketball team’s 2007-08 season opener against Dowling College, which was originally scheduled to be played at Dowling this Friday the 16th, has been moved to Pleasantville. The game will now be played at the Goldstein Health, Fitness & Recreation Center on Pace’s Pleasantville campus on Friday, November 16th. Tip-Off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.

NORTHEAST-10 CONFERENCE ANNOUNCES 2007-08 WOMEN’S BASKETBALL PRESEASON COACHES’ POLL
SOUTH EASTON, MA – The Pace University women’s basketball team has been picked to finish eighth in the Northeast-10 (NE-10) Conference for the 2007-08 season receiving 117 points, as determined by the conference’s 15 head coaches. The Setters finished the 2006-07 season sixth in the NE-10 with an overall record of 24-9 and 15-7 in conference. Pace reached the finals of the NE-10 Conference tournament for the first time in school history, falling to Southern Connecticut State University. The Setters would earn an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament as the third seed, marking their third straight tournament appearance and 13th overall appearance in school history.

PLEASANTVILLE, NY- Three Pace University basketball players helped lead their teams to medal finishes at the 2007 Empire State Games, which took place July 25th-29th in Westchester County.
