STEPHANIE KLINGELE NAMED TO NE-10 ALL-CONFERENCE SECOND TEAM

SOUTH EASTON, MA - Pace University senior guard Stephanie Klingele (Staten Island, NY/St. John Villa) has been named to the 2007-08 Northeast-10 Conference Women's Basketball All-Conference Second Team. This is Klingele's second career selection to the all-conference team, as she was a third team member last season.

Klingele finished her stellar four-year Pace career ranked fifth on the schools all-time scoring list with 1,411 career points and leaves as the schools all-time leader in career three-point field goals made with 229. Klingele's 70 three-pointers in her first season set the school record for both single-season threes and most three-pointers by a freshman, as she was named to the NE-10 All Rookie Team. Her 121 career games played in ties her for third all-time with four other players.

Klingele started in all 28 games this season for Pace (11-17, 10-12 NE-10) averaging a team-best 35.2 minutes of action per contest, good for fifth in the NE-10. She lead the Setters in scoring with a career best 406 points on the season, averaging 14.5 points per game, good for ninth in the conference. On the season, Klingele shot 38.9% (137-for-352) from the field, including 30.1% (46-for-153) from beyond the arc, ranking ninth in the NE-10 in three-point field goals made, while shooting 78.9% (86-for-109) from the free throw line, good for 13th in the conference. Klingele also excelled off the court as she was named to the 2007-08 Northeast-10 Conference Women's Basketball All-Academic Second Team earlier this season, as the biology major has posted a 3.28 cumulative GPA.
