LISA WELSOME NAMED NE-10 FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
SOUTH EASTON, MA - Pace University freshman Lisa Welsome (Staten Island, NY/St. Peter's) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Women's Basketball Freshman of the Week for the week ending December 9th.
Welsome averaged 14.5 points, five rebounds and three assists while shooting 11-for-18 (61.1%) from the field and 5-for-10 from downtown for the week. Coming against Saint Rose, Welsome shot 9-for-12 from the field and 4-for-6 from long range, totaling a career-high 22 points, to go along with eight rebounds and four assists. Against Adelphi, she finished with seven points, two boards and two assists.
Pace will be in action on Saturday, December 15th, as
the Setters travel to Manchester, NH to take on the Hawks of Saint
Anselm College in a Northeast-10 Conference match up. Tip-Off is
scheduled for 5:30 pm.
