BALANCED SCORING ATTACK PACES SETTERS TO WIN OVER SNHU
PACE WIN THIRD IN A ROW 64-54 OVER PENMEN

MANCHESTER, N.H.- The Setters had four players score in double figures as Pace won its third straight game with a 64-54 win over the Penmen of Southern New Hampshire in Northeast-10 Conference action.The Setters improve to 12-5 overall and 9-3 in the NE-10, while the Penmen fall to 9-10 overall and 5-7 in conference play.

The Penmen scored the first six points of the game before Pace rallied with a 16-3 run to pull ahead by seven at 16-9 with 12 minutes left in the opening half. Southern New Hampshire would battle back and eventually tie the score at 29 heading into halftime.

Pace would pull ahead in the second half, leading by as many as eight points midway through the final period. The Penmen would rally taking a one point lead and would proceed to trade baskets to lead 47-46 with just under six minutes remaining in the game. The Setters would put the game on ice with an 18-7 run to close out the game as Laura Mooney (Staten Island, NY/St. John Villa) and Allison Cleary (New Windsor, NY/Cornwall Central) both hit decisive three-pointers to lead the Pace run. The Setters would also go 6-for-6 at the free throw line over the final minute plus as Mooney, Cleary and Kristin Connolly (Staten Island, NY/St. Peter's) would each go 2-for-2 to secure the victory.

For Pace, Mooney, Cleary and Brittany Huggins (Windsor, CT/Windsor) each totaled 11 points, while Lisa Welsome (Staten Island, NY/St. Peter's) netted 10. Welsome and Connolly led the Setters with five rebounds each, while Taylor Losey (Bristol, CT/Bristol Eastern) finished with nine points and three assists.

Pace returns to action on Saturday, January 23 when the Setters will host the Warriors of Merrimack College for a Northeast-10 Conference game at 1:30 pm at the Goldstein Fitness Center on Pace's Pleasantville campus.
