South Easton, Mass. Pace University senior Kimberly Ludewig (Washingtonville, NY/Washingtonville) was named to the 2006 Northeast-10 Conference Womens Soccer All-Academic 2nd Team. Ludewig posted a 3.56 grade-point-average while majoring in Business/Marketing.

Seniors Jocelyne Durando (Monroe, NY/Monroe-Woodbury), Amanda Wowk (North Smithfield, RI/North Smithfield), Kimberly Ludewig (Washingtonville, NY/Washingtonville), Evelyn Graham (The Colony, TX/The Colony), Kelly Fazio (Ann Arbor Michigan/ Saline), and Allison Levine (Ellicot City, MD/Wikk Lake) were all honored before the game The Setters finish the season at 8-7-3 overall and 5-6-3 in the Northeast 10, while the Hawks fall to 9-6-3 overall and 6-5-3 in conference play.

DURANDO BREAKS SHUTOUT RECORD IN 0-0 TIE WITH ASSUMPTION
PLEASANTVILLE, NY Pace senior Jocelyne Durando (Monroe, CT/Monroe-Woodbury) recorded her 7th shutout of the 2006 season, breaking the record of six previously set by Ria Carroll and tied by Durando in 2004.. The shutout gives her 19 for her career. Pace goes to 7-7-3 overall and 4-6-3 in the Northeast-10 Conference. Assumption goes to 5-7-4 overall and 4-6-4 in conference play.

UMass Lowell, who entered the game ranked 17th in the latest adidas/NSCAA Division II national ranking, drops to 7-2-3 overall and 7-1-1 in NE-10 play.

FAZIO TAKES ALL-TIME GOALS LEAD IN SETTERS VICTORY
BRIARCLIFF, NY Kelly Fazios (Ann Arbor, MI/Saline) goal off a corner kick by Kim Ludewig (Washingtonville, NY/Washingtonville) gave the senior captain 21 career goals, a new Pace University record. The previous record of 20 was held by Amanda Thorman (2002-05), which Fazio tied on the first day of the 2006 Pace Kick-Off Classic. The goal was all the Setters needed to improve to 2-0 as Jocelyne Durando (Monroe, NY/Monroe-Woodbury) added to her career shutout record, extending it to 14, in a 5-0 win over Caldwell College.

FAZIO, DURANDO HIT MARKS AS SETTERS WIN IN KICK-OFF CLASSIC
BRIARCLIFF, NY At the 2006 Pace University Kick-Off Classic, both Northeast-10 Conference institutions, Bryant University and host Pace University, won their opening day games. Bryant defeated Caldwell College, 4-0, before Pace downed Dominican College, 5-0. Both Pace and Bryant open the year at 1-0 while Caldwell and Dominican start the year at 0-1.

The Pace University womens soccer team will open its regular season on Friday, August 25, 2006 against Dominican College at 4:15 p.m. as part of the 2006 Pace Kick-Off Classic. The Setters will also play Caldwell College on Saturday, August 26, 2006 at 11:00 a.m.
