WOMEN'S SOCCER TEAM FALLS TO C.W. POST 2-0
BROOKVILLE, NY- The women's soccer team dropped it first game of the year in a loss to LIU-C.W. Post, 2-0. The Setters fall to 2-1 on the season.
The Pioneers got on the board in the 36th minute with a goal by Ivana Babic and Babic would assist on their second goal in the 61st minutes of play as Melissa Pascarella was credited with the goal.
The Setters were limited to three shots on goal, while the Pioneers had 14 shots on goal. Jacqueline Gogel (Whippany, NJ/Whippany Park) recorded 12 saves in the game and allowed both goals by C.W. Post.
The Setters return to action when they travel to Colchester, VT
on Saturday, September 1, to take on St. Michael's College in the
Setters' Northeast-10 Conference opener. The game is scheduled to
start at 10 am.
