WOMEN'S SOCCER FALLS IN OT ON PENALTY KICK

MANCHESTER, NH- The Pace women's soccer team lost on a penalty kick in the first overtime to the Penmen of Southern New Hampshire 1-0. The Setters drop to 2-3-1 overall and 0-2-1 in the NE-10, while the Penmen improve to 3-2-1 and 2-1-0 in conference play.

Neither team had much success offensively in regulation as the Setters only had two shots on goal, while the Penmen tallied 11 shots. Alexa DAgostino (Highland Mills, NY/Cornwall Central) had a solid day minding the nets for the Setters but could not stop a penalty kick in the 96th minute as the Penmen were able to walk off with the victory over Pace. DAgostino played the entire game, stopping five shots on the day, while her counterpart Stef Young also went the distance, totaling two saves.

The Setters return to action when they travel to Springfield, MA to take on Northeast-10 Conference opponent American International College on Tuesday, September 11 for a 3:30 pm. start time.
