WOMEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO LE MOYNE 4-1

BRIARCLIFF, NY- The Pace women's soccer team lost to Le Moyne, 4-1, in a Northeast-10 Conference game played on Pace's Briarcliff campus. The Setters drop to 2-5-2 overall and 0-4-2 in conference play, while the Dolphins improve to 6-2-0 overall and 3-2-0 in the NE-10.

Le Moyne got on the board early as Kaitlyn Brown scored off a feed from Jocelyn Jankowski in the third minute. Riane Fletcher would put the Dolphins up 2-0 in the 36th minute to close out the scoring for the opening half.

In the second half, Le Moyne's Caitlin O'Rourke would give the Dolphins a three-goal advantage, netting a score in the 60th minute. The Setters would avoid the shutout as Kimberly Ludewig (Washingtonville, NY/Washingtonville) scored in the 87th minute on a loose ball in front of the net. The Dolphins would answer right back, capping the scoring on the day just 26 seconds later as Fletcher would score her second goal of the day.

In net for the Setters, Alexa D'Agostino (Highland Mills, NY/Cornwall Central) went the distance, recording eight saves, while allowing four goals. For Le Moyne, Amanda Abbatiello also played the entire game, posting six saves and allowing one goal. 

The Setters return to action when they travel to Rindge, NH to take on the Ravens of Franklin Pierce University on Saturday, September 22, for a Northeast-10 match scheduled for a 1:00 pm kickoff.
