PACE BLANKED BY UMASS LOWELL, 2-0

LOWELL, MA - The Pace University women's soccer team dropped a Northeast-10 Conference match to the River Hawks of the University of Massachusetts - Lowell by the score of 2-0. The Setters fall to 2-8-2 overall and 0-7-2 in NE-10 play, while the River Hawks improve to 7-5 overall and 3-5 in conference play.

Senior Jenna Tulley (Chelmsford, MA) got the hosts on the board at the 24:38 mark scoring her fifth goal of the season on a cross from classmate Tanekar Alexander (Warwick, RI). The score would remain 1-0 until the 69:48 mark, as junior Grace Larsen (Newburyport, MA) netted her second goal of the season on a feed from freshman Ella Merullo (Wakefield, MA).

UMass - Lowell held the overall shot advantage over Pace 12-4 and the shots on goal advantage 7-1. The River Hawks also had a 1-0 advantage in corner kicks. Both teams were whistled for eight fouls apiece.

Lowell net minder sophomore Jamie Gillis (North Billerica, MA) recorded one save for the shutout, while her counterpart freshman Alexa DAgostino (Highland Mills, NY/Cornwall Central) posted five saves on the afternoon. Both keepers played the entire 90 minutes.

The Setters return to action on Wednesday, October 3rd when they host Holy Family University in a non-conference match. Start time is scheduled for 4:00 pm
