WOMEN'S SOCCER FALLS 3-0 TO ADELPHI

Garden City, N.Y.- The Pace women's soccer fell to the Adelphi University Panthers by a 3-0 score this evening in a Northeast-10 Conference match up. The Setters fall to 1-4-1 overall and 0-4-0 in conference play, while the Panthers improve to 5-1 overall and 4-1 in the NE-10.

Adelphi started their scoring early when junior Brianne Mcdonnell netted the first goal of the match in the 10th minute. Less than a minute later, the Panthers extended their lead when senior Karen Roveto tacked on another goal to the Adelphi lead, and help take control of the match.

The Panthers outshot the Setters 29-3 on the evening.

Goalkeeper Monique Morey (Port Orchard, WA/South Kitsap) started the match in goal for Pace, making three saves while allowing two goals. Courtany Hagen (New Paltz, NY/New Paltz) finished the match in goal, making nine saves and allowing one goal.

The Pace University women's soccer team returns to action on Saturday, September 19 when they take on NE-10 foe Bentley University at 3:30 pm in Waltham, Massachusetts.
