 WOMEN'S SOCCER EDGED OUT BY BENTLEY 1-0

WALTHAM, MA- The Pace women's soccer team played a close match against Bentley University, but failed to come out with the victory losing 1-0 to the Falcons in an Northeast-10 match. The loss make the Setters fall to 1-5-1 overall, and 0-5-0 in the NE-10, while the Falcons improve to 4-2-0 overall, and 2-2-0 in conference play with the victory.

The difference maker in the match-up came at the beginning of the second half. Freshman Laura Muise, netted the game's only goal off a header shot. The goal was assisted by fellow freshman Dovlyn Curtis.

Both goalkeepers in the match went the distance. Pace's Monique Morey (Port Orchard, WA/South Kitsap) made six saves while giving up the one goal. For Bentley, Kara Smith was in goal and made four saves on the day.

The Setters women's soccer team returns to action on Monday, September 21 when they travel to Brookeville, New York to play against C.W. Post at 4 pm in a non-conference match.
