SOCCER FALLS TO NON-CONFERENCE C.W. POST 3-0

BROOKEVILLE, NY- Pace's women's soccer team fell to non-conference opponent C.W. Post by a 3-0 score earlier this afternoon. The Setters fall 1-6-1 overall, following the loss, while the Pioneers of C.W. Post improve to 5-1-1 overall with today's victory.

The first goal of the game came in the 35th minute when Jackie Sousa netted the goal from 10 yards out. Lindsey Nick helped Sousa by getting the assist on the scoring play.

The match up was quiet until the 66th minute when Pioneers added another goal to their score off the foot of Ivana Babic. Goalkeeper Nicole Fierro had the assist on the score.

C.W. Post would put this game out of reach in the 74th minute when Janie Janitto punched in the third and final goal of the match.

Pace was outshot 23-4 in the match.

Monique Morey (Port Orchard, WA/South Kitsap) was in goal for the game's entirety allowing three goals and making four saves.

Fierro went the distance in goal for the Pioneers with two saves.

The Setters women's soccer team returns to action on Saturday, September 26 when they take on nationally-ranked #22 Franklin Pierce University at 3 pm on Pace's Briarcliff campus.
