PACE FALLS TO FRANKLIN PIERCE IN NE-10 MATCH
BRIARCLIFF, NY- The Pace women's soccer team dropped a Northeast-10 conference match this afternoon to nationally ranked #22 Franklin Pierce by a 7-0 score. The loss puts the Setters at 1-7-1 overall and 0-6-0 in conference play this year. The Ravens improve to 8-2 overall and 6-1 in the NE-10.
The Ravens offense was led by Gabriela Demoner scoring three goals for a hat trick on the afternoon.
Demoner was also helped by Angelika Johansson who netted two goals, along with Shona Franklin who scored a goal of her own along with totaling two assists.
Both schools played an aggressive game with 29 total fouls. Pace totaled 17 of those fouls.
Monique Morey (Port Orchard, WA/South Kitsap) had nine saves on the day despite the loss.
The Setters will return to action on Wednesday, September 30 when they go against conference foe American International College at 3:30 pm in Springfield, MA.
