SETTERS ARE EDGED OUT BY RIVER HAWKS 1-0
BRIARCLIFF, NY- The Pace University women's soccer suffered a close 1-0 defeat this afternoon when they played the Northeast-10 school UMass-Lowell. The Setters fall to 1-9-1 overall and 0-8-0 in the NE-10, while the River Hawks improve their record to 8-2-2 overall and 7-1-1 in conference play.
Both teams were at a stalemate in the first half, and the Brianne Bozzella scored the first and only goal of the match when she took a pass from teammate Maddy Bissaillon and snuck it behind Pace goal keeper Monique Morey (Port Orchard, WA/South Kitsap).
Morey, went the distance in goal for the Setters making twelve saves in the match.
Pace women's soccer will return to action on Tuesday, October 6 to face off against the Owls of Southern Connecticut State University at 3:30 pm in a Northeast-10 Conference match on Pace's Briarcliff campus.
