NATALIJA SUBOTIC NAMED TO 2008 NE-10 WOMEN'S TENNIS
ALL-ACADEMIC FIRST TEAM

SOUTH EASTON, MA - The Northeast-10 Conference has announced the members of the 2008 Men's and Women's Tennis All-Academic Teams. To be eligible for selection to the academic teams, a student-athlete must have met and/or exceeded the following minimum requirements: 1) participated in at least half of the team's competitions and be either a starter or significant contributor; 2) achieved a 3.2 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale); and 3) completed at least one academic year at his/her current institution. The Northeast-10 All-Academic Teams are chosen by a vote of the Northeast-10 Sports Information Directors.

Pace University junior Natalija Subotic (Bradenton, FL/Edison Academic), the 2008 Northeast-10 Conference Women's Tennis Vern Cox Player of the Year, an All-Conference First Team member at number one singles and the 2008 Pace Female Athlete of the Year, has been named to the 2008 NE-10 All-Academic First Team, as the International Management major has posted a cumulative GPA of 3.82.

Subotic, the former NE-10 Freshman of the Year winner in 2006 and two-time all-conference second team selection in number one singles, was a force this season for the Setters finishing the season with a 13-1 overall record, 11-1 in conference play, at number one singles. She was also a two-time player of the week honoree this season for her efforts. Her lone loss on the year came in Pace's season opener against conference foe Bryant University, as Subotic fell to Emma Czarnecki, 6-4, 6-1. Czarnecki was a second team all-conference selection at number one singles this season.
